Wow, good job Diana, you didn't take 6 months to send out your “monthly” newsletter this time! Says no one, lol.
But here it is, What's New #3!
Before 2023 ends, I want to share with y'all a few things!
First: I put my movie Twerkumentary online! There are 2 options: the original version in English, and a version with Italian subtitles. You'll find the links below. I just want to add a couple of info first.
This is a movie I was able to produce thanks to the help of amazing friends, and strangers, who donated their time, art, expertise, and also money - through an IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign - to the cause.
I did a big, sold-out, premiere in Los Angeles, where everyone involved was invited for free, and another big, sold-out, premiere in Milan, again, was free. I also did a few other, more intimate, free screenings, gave a password-protected link to friends who asked me and participated in several international film festivals. The film was also available, with a free trial, on a streaming platform called Fullscreen, which links I promoted on my socials and sent to the whole IndieGoGo mailing list. So I feel like everyone involved with the crowdfunding and the production of the film has already watched it. But, if for some reason you didn't, please shoot me an email HERE and I will send you a personal code to watch it for free. Please don't cheat, I have a list with all the names of the campaign donors! Plus this is a project that I still keep feeding with my own money, even after years - to maintain its website and now a streaming service - so your support is very welcome.
For the Italians reading this, the documentary has some slang in it, and people with different accents from different countries are talking. If your level of English is not pretty good, you might want to consider watching the subtitled version. If you rent the English version and find out halfway that it's hard for you to follow, or you rent it in Italian and realize you understand everything and the subtitles are annoying (you can't switch them off), please shoot me an email HERE and I will send you a personal code to watch the other version for free.
BTW, I haven't posted on social media about Twerkumentary being available yet, so you are the first ones to know and I'm excited about it!

Second: I'm working on a new documentary-ish project! This time it will be an episodic series that focuses on womxn in gaming! It's called LEVELED UP! and each episode will touch on a different topic, for example, "LEVELED UP! Gaming Inclusivity Unlocked". I will share more about this project in my next newsletter, right now I just wanted to tell you that this time I won't be doing a crowdfunding campaign, I'll apply for some grants instead. One of these grants I found allows people to vote for the projects, so I will come back somewhere in January asking for your support. It will only take you 2 seconds to vote for my project but, unfortunately, you will be required to have a Twitter account to do so (I know, I hate X too and never use it).
Third: I put together a new personal website since I’ve lost my old domain! It's still a work in progress, tons of stuff is missing, so I’m not promoting it yet, but if you have time to check it out, let me know if you like it or what you think!
